Refreshing Fruit Drink
Makes 4 generous servings
2 sprigs Mint, rinse and chiffonade (leaves stacked, tightly rolled and thinly sliced)
1/2 cup blueberries, stems removed
6 strawberries, cored and quartered
16 raspberries
8 ounces Rum
24 oz of your favorite Sangria
6 ounces sparkling ginger ale
Thoroughly rinse the mint and fruit and combine it with the Rum. Set it in the refrigerator to chill overnight. Then combine it with the Sangria and chill another hour. Moments before serving add in a splash of ginger ale. Serve in a tall glass of ice with a straw.
Add even more creativity when making fancy drinks
If you like coconut water in your drinks, use this in your ice trays and into this drink as coconut ice cubes. The coconut flavor doesn't truly come through, it is fairly mild. If you want more coconut flavor, add a little coconut cream to the coconut water. If you do go that route, instead of using Sangria, create a fun fruit juice combination and add in Rum to spice it up. Soak the fruit as instructed above.
